Much of NEBC is remote and offers special challenges when ensuring our staff work in a safe environment.  EWD goes to the next level to train and equip our staff.  Standard training includes:

• Occupational First Aid Level 1;
• Transportation Endorsement;
• Hydrogen sulphide (H2S) training
• Ground Disturbance;
• WHMIS;
• Transportation of dangerous goods (TDG);
• Workplace hazardous material information systems (WHMIS);
• Defensive driving;
• Bear Aware;
• ATV & Snowmobile.

In addition, EWD has equipped all our work vehicles with cell phone boosters, two-way radios and emergency survival kits. Satellite phones are used in remote work locations.
